Allu Arjun is an actor in Tollywood film industry. He is from a family of legend actors who have lived for cinema.His father Allu Aravind is a well known Telugu film producer. He is also the nephew of the famous Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi.

He is the grandson of the yesteryear comic actor of Tollywood, Allu Ramalingaiah. His cousin Ram Charan Teja is also an other actor in Tollywood.

He has two siblings, an older brother named as Allu Venkatesh and a younger brother named as Allu Sirish. Allu Arjun lives in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India with his family. He is a also good dancer in the industry of Tollywood just like his uncle. He started learning dance just from his childhood days.

  • Before making his debut in films as a lead he has done and proved his acting as a child artiste in the film Vijetha.

  • He also made guest appearance in the film Daddy. He made his debut as a lead in the film Gangotri which was directed by K.Raghavendra Rao. The film did quite well at the box office.

2004

In the year 2004 he won the won the Nandi special jury award at Nandi Award function for his performance in the film Arya.

2008

In the year 2008 he won the Filmfare Best Actor-Male(Telugu) at Filmfare Award function for his performance in the film Parugu.

2011

In the year 2011 he won the Filmfare Best Actor-Male(Telugu) at Filmfare Award function for his performance in the film Vedam.

  • He is one of the young actors who has given a rich number of huge hit films in his film career. The actor is reportedly been paid a sum of rupees 5-6 crores for a film and 1-2crores for commercial advertisements.



  • Allu Arjun made his debut as an actor in a Telugu film named Daddy in the year 2001 that was produced by his father himself. His debut as a lead was made in the film Gangotri which was directed by the ace director K.Raghavendra Rao in the year 2003. His second film was the film Arya that released in the year 2004. Arjun has claimed the film Arya to be his first major hit of his film career.


  • Allu Arjun's third film was the film Bunny that was released in the year 2005. His fourth film was the film Happy which was released in the year 2006. The film did manage to make a very decent profit in the Indian movie scenario in the U.S. In the same year 2006 his film Arya was dubbed and released in Malayalam. In the year 2007, his fifth film called Desamuduru which was directed by director Puri Jagannadh was released and it proved to be a mega box office hit and the first film hit of the year 2007 in the Tollywood film industry.


  • This movie grossed over Rs.19 crores and took a share of Rs.15.50 crores just in the first week of its movie release. This opening still remains his highest ever grossing opening r in his successful film career. In the same year 2007, he also made a small but a vital guest appearance in his uncle, Chiranjeevi's film, Shankardada Zindabad.


  • The film Happy was dubbed and released in Malayalam and also films Hero-2007 and Bunny the lion was released in Malayalam. Then his sixth film named Parugu was released in the year 2008. The film was produced by a very successful producer Dil Raju and it was directed by director Bhaskar. Sheela played as the female lead in this movie and Prakash Raj played an another major important role in the film.


  • This film opened with a mixed review and talk from both the audience and the film critics but still it went on to run successfully for 100 days. This film brought a very good recognition to Allu Arjun as an actor as well as a dancer. He entertained his audience in this film with his dance moves and impeccable acting skills. He is also a very well known star in Kerala.


  • That is why All of Allu Arjun's movies except Gangotri were dubbed and released in Malayalam. Desamudrudu was renamed to Hero and Parugu was renamed to Krishna when dubbed into Malayalam. This has helped him gain popularity in the state of Kerala. In the year 2009 his sequel of the very successful film Arya was released as Arya-2. It also was a very huge box office hit.


  • Then in the year 2010 he lined it up with the film Varudu and Vedam. His two successful films Arya-2and Varudu was dubbed and released in Malayalam as Arya-2 and Varan. In the year 2011 he lined it up with Badrinath. His performance in the film was very much appreciated and well received by both the audience and the film critics. The same film was dubbed and released in Malayalam in the year 2012.
