CHEESY CAULIFLOWER Vegetarian-Dish

Cauliflower is an extremely versatile member of the cabbage family that can be prepared many ways. It is a low carbohydrate recipe that is high in protein. It is also very easy to make!



Ingredients

Small head cauliflower
: 1
Water
: 1 tbsp
Butter or margarine
: 2 tbsp
Plain flour
: 2 tbsp
Salt
: 1/4 tsp
Pepper
: 1 tsp
Milk
: 1 cup
Worcestershire sauce
: 1 tsp
Shredded cheese
: 1/2 cup

Cheesy Cauliflower

Method

  • In a casserole, place the cauliflower and water. Cover. Microwave at HIGH for 7 to 8 mins. or until fork tender, stirring once. Drain. Cover, set aside.
  • Place butter in 4-5 cup measure. Microwave at HIGH for 1 to ¼ mins or until butter melts. Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
  • Add milk and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Microwave at HIGH for 3 to 4 mins. or until thickened, stirring after first 2 mins. and then after each minute. Stir in cheese and parsley.
  • Pour over cauliflower.
