CHRISTMAS COOKIES

Christmas cookies are traditionally sugar cookies (though other flavors may be used based on family traditions and individual preferences) cut into various shapes related to Christmas. The cookies are often cut into such shapes as those of candy canes, reindeer, and holly leaves.

Ingredients

Butter	1/2 cup
Milk	1/2 cup
Sugar	1 cup
Cocoa	6 tbsps
Salt	1/2 tsp
Uncooked oats	3 cups
Vanilla essence	1 tbsp

Christmas Cookies

Method

Put the butter, milk, sugar and cocoa into a bowl and mix.
Microwave for 5 1/2 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
Mix in 3 cups oats and 1 tablespoon vanilla.
Remove from microwave.
Place on wax paper and cut into round shapes.
Cool in refrigerator overnight.
