MASAILA ARHAR RECIPE Vegetarian-Dish

Masaila Arhar is very delicious and healthy. The curry leaves and red chillies gives the Masaila Arhar a prefect taste.



Ingredients

Oil
: 1 tbsp
Roasted and grounded cummin seeds
: 1/2 tsp
Chopped curry leaves
: a few
Ground garlic and ginger
: 1 tsp
Red chillies broken into pieces
: 2
Small chopped onion
: 1
Arhar dal washed and soaked for 15 minutes and drained
: 250 gms
Turmeric powder
: 1 tsp
Water
: 3 cups
Salt
: To taste
Chopped tomato
: 1
Finely chopped coriander leaves to garnish
: 1 tbsp

Masaila Arhar Recipe

Method

  • Microwave covered in a deep bowl oil, cummin seeds, curry leaves, garlic and ginger, chillies and onion for 3 minutes.
  • Add arhar dal, turmeric powder and water and microwave on medium 70% power for 30 minutes.
  • Let it stand for 5 minutes and then mix in salt and tomato.
  • Microwave further on medium 70% power for 6 minutes.
