
With Uttar Pradesh in the
east, Punjab in the west, Himachal Pradesh in the north and Rajasthan in the
south, Haryana is a small state lying at the crossroads of the country. This
is also called "Green Land". It was a part of Punjab state but it was separated
from it in 1966. It is an agricultural as well as an industrial state. It has
also a good tourism department.
