Meghalaya, literally means,
"The Abode of clouds". This state is also called the Scotland of the East. This
state boasts of an excellent flora that constitutes pines, firs and orchids.
The people of this state belong to the matriarchal society, in which the women
do all the chores and earn money for the family while the men enjoy their life.
