The golden temple of Sripuram is a spiritual park situated at the foot of a small range of green hills in a place known as "Malaikodi" in the city of Vellore in Tamil Nadu. The temple is at the southern end of the city of Vellore, at city Tirumalaikodi.
SriKalahasti temple is located 36 km away from Tirupathi in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradhesh, India. The inner temple is constructed around 5th century and the outer temple was constructed in the 12th Century.
The shrine of Lord Mallikarjuna or Lord Shiva are picturesquely situated on a flat top of Nallamalai Hills, Srisailam temple is reputed to be one of the most ancient kshetras in India.
St.Francis Church located in Kochi in India is the oldest European church. It was built originally in the year 1503. This church today stands as the evidence of history of Christianity in India. There is an interesting story associated with St.Francis Church.
Suryanarayana Temple, Arasavalli- Sri Kakulam was built during the 7th century by the Kalinga rulers of Orissa. The Arasavalli is situated at Srikakulam near Vishakapatnam which is in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The temple enshrines the great Sun God.
Tanjavur temple was constructed by Raja Raja Cholan in the years 1003-1010 A.D and type of construction is antique. Thanjavur temple area is around 29.24 square.kms. The Cholas came once more into prominence through the rise of the chivalric Chola monarch Vijayalaya in about 850 CE.
The famous Thousand Pillar Temple in Hyderabad is a specimen of the Kakatiyan style of architecture of the 12th century. The Thousand Pillar Temple of Hyderabad with its ruins lies in the near the Hanamkonda-Warangal highway, about 150 kilometers from Hyderabad city.
Tirupati is a famous town in the Chittoor district of the Southern portion of Andhra Pradesh and is at a convenient train journey away from Chennai (formerly Madras) in Tamilnadu.
Shree Krishna Temple of Udipi is first among the seven places of pilgrimages. Thousands of pious devotees throng here at the Udupi Krishna temple all round the year to catch a glimpse of Lord Krishna. Udupi Krishna Temple is located 60 km far from the Mangalore city.
St.Mary’s Vallarpadam Church is one of the famous pilgrimage spots in India. The famous church is here called as The Church of Our Lady of Ransom. This church is dedicated to the Mother Mary, mother of the Jesus. This church is named after Mother Mary who is also known as Vallarpadathamma.
Varadaraja Perumal temple is recognized as Hastigiri and it was originally known as Attiyuran. Attiyuuran is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in the holy city of Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu, India. It is one of the "Divya Desams" temple, the 108 temples of Lord Vishnu believed to have been visited by the 12 poet saints, or Alwars.
Velankanni is one of the most sacred Christian pilgrimages in India. Velankanni town is located at the sand shores of the Bay of Bengal. It is just at the distance of 12 KM from the famous coast of Coromandel. The town is famous for the shrine Basilica that is dedicated to 'Lady of health'. Velankanni has also been declared a holy city by the Pope.
