Almora has a striking nature and it falls under the Kumaun region of East of Uttarakhand.It is the cultural capital of Kumaon and is a beautiful scenic place situated at an altitude of 5900 ft

The name Badrinath is derived from the word "badhri" or the wild berries which are seen in plenty here. The main legend behind this place is that Lord Vishnu came to Badrivan for self-mortification after he was reproved severely by narad for indulging in worldly pleasures.
The town of Bhimtal is more popularly known for its lake resort.The ideal time to visit Bhimtal is between mid April to mid July or during mid September to October.
Binsar wildlife sanctuary is situated in the state of Uttaranchal at a distance of about 35 kms from Almora.
Chopta is also popularly referred as mini Switzerland and is situated in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand state. Chopta is surrounded by dense forest of pine, deodar and rhododendrons and is at an elevation of about 2,600mts above sea level.
Jim Corbett National Park in the foothills of Himalayas lies in the Nainital, Pauri Garwhal and Bijnore Districts of Uttaranchal. Corbett National Park is located in Ramganga valley in Uttaranchal.It is at a distance of about 263 kilometers from Delhi.

The "Queen of Hills" Mussoorie was first discovered by Captain Young and his friend Mr. Shore in year 1825 when they wanted to escape from the scorching heat of the plains and thus soon Mussoorie started to develop into a holiday resort.

The Nanda Devi National Park is located in the upper Himalayan ranges of the Chamoli district in the Garhwal division in the state of Uttaranchal. The park extends from the latitude 30°24' in the North to the longitude 79°53' in the East. On all three sides the Nanda Devi National park is surrounded by mountain peaks except in the West.

It was a major centre of power during the regime of the Chand Kings in Kumaon.This valley also nestles the snow capped peaks.Pithoragarh is known for woollen clothes, wooden and cane handicrafts.

Ranikhet is a place of Legends. At a height of 1,829 mts Ranikhet has got everything to soothe the nerves of an avid city dweller.

The Rajaji National Park is rich in fossils which include both its flora and fauna thus giving a lot of opportunities to wildlife and nature lovers.
