2026 Hero Xtreme 160R Starts Reaching Dealership Ahead Of Launch; Check Details
Hero MotoCorp is planning on launching the 2026 version of the Xtreme 160R in the Indian market. Before any official announcement from the two-wheeler manufacturer, the motorcycle has started reaching showrooms.
Based on the spy shots, the motorcycle comes with multiple updates in terms of appearance and features. Meanwhile, the mechanics remain more or less the same; here we take a look at the details.
To begin with, the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R comes with changes in its design, most prominently visible in its headlight. This version seems to be inspired by the Xtreme 250R currently on sale in the country.
It continues to have a muscular body, but with a new paint scheme and graphics on the side panels and a single-piece seat. All of this is complemented by the presence of LED lights.
What distinguishes the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R is the inclusion of an electronic throttle (ride-by-wire technology), which has allowed Hero MotoCorp to introduce a Cruise Control feature. This same system was previously seen in the Glamour X and Xtreme 125R, and it will likely be included in more Hero models.
The Cruise Control switch has been integrated into the right-hand switchgear. Additionally, new switchgear can be found on the left-hand side to operate the updated color LCD instrument cluster.
