Dhanush's Father BREAKS Silence On Nayanthara's Open Letter, Claims: 'We Don't Have Time To...'

Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja has reportedly reacted to Nayanthara's letter to the actor. He dismissed Nayanthara's claims.

Dhanush’s father Kathuri Raja has allegedly reacted to Nayanthara’s open letter. On Saturday, Nayanthara shocked social media by sharing an open letter addressed to Dhanush about not granting her an NOC for using footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan for her documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale. He also sued her for Rs 10 Cr for using a three-second footage in the trailer. While Dhanush has not reacted to the claims yet, a report carrying a statement by his father, Kasthuri Raja is doing the rounds online.

According to The Times of India’s Samayam, Kasthuri Raja said that Nayanthara’s claims of following up with Dhanush for two years are false. He also added that Dhanush is busy with his upcoming projects and doesn’t have the time to react to her claims. In the statement, Kasthuri also added that he was unaware about Nayanthara’s relationship with Vignesh Shivan until much after Naanum Rowdy Dhaan released.

“Work is important to us. We are running ahead. There is no time to answer those who chase us or those who talk about us behind our backs. Like me, my son is focused only on work," he said, as per the portal. “As Nayanthara said, waiting for two years is not true information. He said I don’t want to talk about it," he added.

In her open letter, Nayanthara claimed, “After two long years of battling it out with you for an NOC (No Objection Certificate) and waiting for your approval for our Netflix documentary release, we finally decided to give up, re-edit and settle for the current version since you declined to permit the usage of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan songs or visual cuts, even the photographs to say the least despite multiple requests."

“What’s even more shocking is your legal notice after the release of the trailer of the Netflix Documentary. We were startled to read those lines wherein you questioned the usage of some videos (just 3 seconds) which were shot in our personal devices and that too BTS visuals that are already very much publicly present on social media and claimed a sum of Rs.10 crores as damages for the mere 3 seconds. This is an all time low from you and speaks so much about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans but clearly you do not practice what you preach, at least not for me and my partner," she added.

Meanwhile, an excerpt from the legal notice sent to Nayanthara and her team by Dhanush’s lawyer read, “My client is the producer of the film and your client has stated that my client has not commissioned any person to shoot the behind the scenes footage and the said statement is baseless and your client is to put strict proof of the same."
