Robo Shankar first rose to fame through Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru, a popular comedy reality show that introduced several talented comedians to the Tamil audience. His spontaneous humour, witty one-liners, and robotic dance moves earned him the nickname “Robo” Shankar, making him a household name in television.

Following his success in KPY, Robo Shankar became a regular face on Tamil television. He entertained audiences through shows like Adhu Idhu Edhu and Sirippuda, where his improvisational comedy won widespread appreciation.

He also appeared in Comedy Raja Kalakkal Rani as a judge, further showcasing his versatility. Later, he participated in a cooking reality show, Cooku with Comali season 5 and Top Cooku Dupe Cooku season 2.
