Pakistani fans in meltdown after crushing Champions Trophy defeat to India. See tweets

India secured a 6-wicket victory, pushing tournament hosts Pakistan closer to an early exit after heavy defeats in their first two matches.

Pakistani fans had a severe meltdown on X after India defeated their team by six wickets in the Champions Trophy in Dubai on February 23. Several Pakistani X users shared memes and jokes laced with sarcasm and humor to express their disappointment after their team’s embarrassing loss.

India secured a dominant victory, pushing tournament hosts Pakistan closer to an early exit. Pakistan has lost two out of two and is at the bottom of the Group A points table. They lost to New Zealand in Karachi by 60 runs on Wednesday. Virat Kohli's masterclass handed Pakistan another big hammering, and they now need a miracle from Bangladesh to keep their hopes of staying alive in the tournament.

One user said, "In my khala’s gaon they would set the table for guests and then leave the room, so guests can eat in comfort. Pakistan ka bhi champions trophy mein yehi haal hai (In my maternal aunt's village, people would set the table for guests and leave them alone so that they could eat comfortably. This is what Pakistan did)."

Another post, now a viral meme, referenced former Pakistani Prime Minister (now jailed) Imran Khan: "Release Imran Khan. Arrest this XI."

A section of the internet praised Kohli's consistent performance against Pakistan. "Virat Kohli 50* against Pakistan. 'Parampara. Pratishtha. Anushasan'," referencing a famous Bollywood dialogue.

Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan had a steady start, but things went downhill fast. Hardik Pandya's breakthrough dismantled the opening stand, and India's spinners tightened the screws in the middle overs.

Kuldeep Yadav picked up three crucial wickets, while Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja ensured runs dried up. The collapse saw Pakistan bowled out for 241.Unfazed as ever, Virat Kohli made light work of the chase. His unbeaten 51st century led India to a comfortable win.

While Indian fans reveled in the win, Pakistan supporters were left wondering if their team could still salvage the tournament.
