RCB's Yash Dayal faces sexual harassment case after woman alleges exploitation
An FIR has been registered against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal for sexually exploiting a woman on the pretext of marriage.
According to the complaint, the woman alleged that she was in a five-year relationship with Dayal, during which he mentally, physically, and financially exploited her under the false promise of marriage.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and India fast bowler Yash Dayal has been booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) after a woman from Ghaziabad levelled serious allegations of sexual harassment and exploitation against him.
The FIR was registered at Indirapuram police station following a preliminary investigation into a complaint filed via the Chief Minister’s grievance portal, IGRS.
Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita deals with sexual acts committed on the basis of deceitful promises, such as false assurances of marriage or employment.
It treats such acts as a form of fraud and exploitation, punishable by up to ten years in prison.
According to the complaint, the woman alleged that she was in a five-year relationship with Dayal, during which he mentally, physically, and financially exploited her under the false promise of marriage.
