Emraan Anwar Hashmi born on 24 March, 1979 is an Indian artist who emerged in Bollywood films. His victorious movies consist of Murder, Gangster (2006), Jannat, Raaz – The Mystery Continues, Awarapan, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Murder 2, The Dirty Picture and Jannat 2.

He has recognized himself as one of the industry's thriving actors. One of the most admired Indian film actors in Pakistan. He was selected as the brand ambassador of LG mobile company in Pakistan.

  • Hashmi was born to Anwar Hashmi and Maherah Hashmi.

  • After briefly changing his initial name to Farhan, he decided to continue his original name but later on he changed his name as Emraan Hashmi.

Murder

In 2004, he and his co-star Mallika Sherawat shot to recognition with the thriller Murder, which became a super hit at the box office. It was Hashmi's primary release of the year and his second movie. It became the tenth-highest grossing movie of the year.

Zeher

In 2005, Hashmi materialized in a number of films such as Zeher, Kalyug, which did reasonably well at the box office. He became famous as the "Serial Kisser" for his sex scenes in films.

Gangster

In 2006, his film Gangster, conflicting Shiney Ahuja and debutant Kangana Ranaut, was a semi-hit at the box office. His concert in it grossed him a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role in 2007.

Good Boy Bad Boy

In 2007, Hashmi had three back-to-back discharges: Good Boy Bad Boy, Awarapan and The Train. All botched at the box office.

Jannat

In 2008, Hashmi had only one release, Jannat, contrary debutant Sonal Chauhan, which had a 100% opening, making it a decisive and profitable success.

Raaz – The Mystery Continues

His initial release in 2009, Raaz – The Mystery Continues, released well and became the initial box-office triumph of the year. His second movie of the year, Tum Mile opposite Soha Ali Khan, opened to diverse reviews and was rated a box office crash.
  • In 2010, he materialized in Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, which released to optimistic reviews and was affirmed a hit at the box office. He was selected for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.

  • In 2011, he starred in Mohit Suri's Murder 2, a follow-up to the 2004 thriller Murder. The movie opened well and was affirmed a blockbuster. His then movie The Dirty Picture was on the rampage on 2 December, 2011. The movie received optimistic reviews from critics and was also a blockbuster universal, making it Hashmi's second triumph in a row.

  • His newest movie, Jannat 2, has received mixed to pessimistic review but nevertheless executed well at box office. The movie gave Emraan Hashmi a triple triumph hat trick in a row. Emraan Hashmi has also starred in the C.I.D (T.V.Serial) as Abraham.The Episode is named as "Raaz Khooni Awaaz Ka".It was relayed on 2 December, 2011.

  • Hashmi graduated from Sydenham College in Mumbai, India. Pooja Bhatt, an artist, writer and director, and director Mohit Suri are his cousins, whereas producers Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt are his uncles.

  • Hashmi married his long-time girlfriend Parveen Shahani on 14 December 2006. He became father to an infant boy on 4 February 2010 and named him Ayaan.

  • Hashmi penetrated Bollywood at the age of 18, as an assistant director on Raaz. He made his film first appearance in 2003 with the movie Footpath, opposite Aftab Shivdasani, Bipasha Basu and Rahul Dev. Footpath did not do well at the box office.
