MICROWAVE FRUIT DESSERT
Fruit is both healthy and delicious, so it makes an ideal dessert. Try this fruit-dessert ideas to create a fresh finale for your meal.
Ingredients
Sliced apples or peaches
: 5 to 3 cups
Pineapple juice (less if fruit is juicy)
: 8 oz.
Uncooked oatmeal
: 1/2 cup
Cinnamon
: 1 tsp
Post Grape-Nut cereal
: 1 cup
Nutmeg
: 1/2 tsp
Raisins
: 1/2 cup
Honey
: 2 tbsp
Method
- Cover bottom of 8-inch square pan with oatmeal. Mix rest of ingredients except cereal.
- Bake in microwave for 16 minutes. Turn pan 1/4 after 4 minutes; do this 4 times.
- Should be covered with Saran wrap; punch in air holes.
- Remove Saran Wrap, add cereal and bake another 4 minutes on High or until fruit tests done.
- Serve with ice cream.
