Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor is from the first family of Bollywood. He was born to actor Rishi Kapoor and actress Neetu Singh. He also has a sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Though he is from the family with a rich film background he has established himself as an actor with great potential.

He is creating a boy next door image for himself with his striking amazing looks, charm, dedication and hard work. He may have had a struggling start in the start of his career but he managed to make a mark of his own in the industry and he made it with his own style and passion.

Being among the top ten most paid list of Bollywood actors, Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly being paid a sum of rupees 7-9 crores for a film and is being a paid a sum of rupees 2-3 crores for endorsements which is usually the sum of money being paid to a lot of Bollywood's upcoming actors .

He completed his schooling and went to New York to study acting in the famous The Lee Strasberg theatre and film institute. In the year 2005 he entered the Bollywood industry not as an actor but as an assistant director. He worked as an assistant director with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the film Black. He then made his Bollywood film debut as an actor in the film Saawariya in which he was cast opposite the newcomer Sonam Kapoor.

The film failed to do well at the box office but his performance was praised by both the audience and the film critics. His role in this film also helped him to fetch the Filmfare Best Debutant-male Award. Then in the year 2008 he acted in a romantic comedy by Siddharth Anand in the film Bachna Ae Haseeno. The film was surely the lucky one for the lad because he was cast opposite three sexy beauties of the Bollywood town.

They were Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu and Manisha Limba. The first release in the year 2009 was Wake Up Sid by Ayan Mukerji in which he played the role of a Mumbai-based spoiled and self-sentred college student. He was cast opposite Konkana Sen in the film and the film was a critical and a commercial success which was applauded by both the film critics and the audience.

In the same year he followed it up with the romantic comedy film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani in which Katrina Kaif was the female lead. Then he followed it up with Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year film in which he portrayed the role of a Singh. The film might have not done well at the box office but this did not stop Ranbir Kapoor from being praised for his performance in the film.

Then in the year 2010 his first release was the political drama Rajneeti in which his performance was appreciated and the film did very well at the box office. Though there were other stars too who were part of the film, Ranbir's performance was very well applauded by both the audience and the film crtics. Then he lined it up with Anjaana Anjaani in which he acted opposite Priyanka Chopra.

In the year 2011 he acted in the film Rockstar in which he portrayed the role of a budding rockstar. The film did very well at the box office and was also well received by both the film critics and the audience. The role also fetched him a lot of awards. In the year 2012 his film Barfi was released and he was portrayed as a deaf man in the film.

It was during the shoot with Deepika Padukone for the film Bachna Ae Haseeno he started dating Deepika Padukone but they untimately broke up in the year 2009. Even though Ranbir says he is still single there are rumours about a lot of link-ups with his female co-stars.
