MIXED NEWS FOR NEW ZEALAND AHEAD OF SECOND ODI AGAINST INDIA

New Zealand have been dealt a blow with news that experienced batter Devon Conway will miss the remainder of their ODI series at home against India due to concussion.

Conway suffered a collision with teammate Matt Henry at training last week and was sidelined for the opening match of the series in Auckland that India won by five wickets.

The blow has seen Conway diagnosed with concussion and the 35-year-old will miss the last four ODIs of the series with an aim to be fit for the two-match ICC World Test Championship series that commences in Wellington on 19 November.

The news is better for Henry, who has been cleared of concussion and is in contention to return to New Zealand's XI for the second ODI of the series in Wellington on Saturday.

Left-handed batter Nick Kelly has been named as Conway's replacement and will join up with his teammates in Wellington on Friday ahead of the second ODI.

The Black Caps are already without the services of all-rounder Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman, with the duo ruled out of the ODI series prior to its commencement.
