Butter chicken is suitable for any occasion and easily finds its way to every food menu that can boast of authentic Indian delights. A popular North Indian cuisine, butter chicken is actually chicken marinated overnight in yoghurt, along with various Indian spices (like coriander, turmeric, garam masala, lime, cumin, methi, garlic and ginger), and cooked in tomato puree. Its mouthwatering taste can be enjoyed with naan, rotis or steamed rice, which makes it a hot favorite among chicken lovers around the world.



Ingredients

Boneless chicken
: 800 gm
Tomato puree
: 300 ml
Brown onion paste
: 50 gm
Ginger paste
: 30 gm
Garlic paste
: 30 gm
Red chilly powder
: 1 tsp
Garam masala
: 10 gm
Sugar
: 10 gm
Cooking butter
: 150 gm
Water
: 150 ml
Fresh cream
: 50 ml
Salt
: To taste
Green coriander springs for garnish
: 4

Boneless Butter Chicken

Method

  • Apply 50gms of butter to the chicken pieces and cook in Mighty wonder for 5 minutes on high.
  • Mix in a separate bowl all ingredients except fresh cream and coriander. Add chicken pieces in the above mixture.
  • Cook in Mighty wonder for 7 minutes and stir. Cook in Mighty wonder for another 6 minutes and stir. Add cream and cook in Mighty wonder for 2 minutes. Garnish with green coriander.
