CABBAGE SABZI Vegetarian-Dish

Cabbage is low in fat and calories and is a good source of dietary fiber and vitamin C, and the dark green varieties, such as bok choy, are also rich in folate and vitamin A.This leafy vegetable is eaten raw as salads and used in many other recipes like sabzi's.



Ingredients

Cabbage, shredded
: 1 medium
Tomato, choppede
: 1/2
Capsicum, chopped
: 1/2 medium
Curry leaves
: 1 stalk
Green chillies, slit
: 2
Coriander leaves, chopped
: 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder
: 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder
: 1/2 tsp
Coriander seed powder
: 1/2 tsp
Salt
: To taste
Asafoetida
: 2 to 3 pinches
Sugar
: 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice
: 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds
: 1/2 tsp
Urad dal grainsr
: 1/2 tsp

Cabbage Sabzi

Method

  • Wash cabbage, drain.
  • Pour oil in a microwave bowl.
  • Put green chilli, curry leaves, urad dal, asafetida.
  • Microwave for 20 seconds, remove.
  • Add cumin seeds, cabbage, return to microwave.
  • Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle all masalas, tomato, coriander, salt, sugar.
  • Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
  • Remove, add lemon juice, stir.
  • Cover and allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
