Cherries and chocolate are an all time favourite combination. This chocolate fudge has glace cherries and almonds throughout, and is topped with more cherries and pecans.Home-made Fudge is a luscious addition to any Christmas, either as a gift for a sweet toothed friend or family member or just for the family to eat at Christmas time. Everyone will think you are really good cook to make your own fudge, it will be your secret of how easy it is to make this fudge.


Condensed sweetened milk
: 1 (397g) tin
Plain chocolate or chocolate chips
: 325g
Chopped almonds
: 60g
Chopped glace cherries
: 85g
Almond extract
: 1 tsp
Pecan halves
: 25g
Glace cherries, halved
: 40g

Cherries and Chocolate Fudge


  • Line a 20cm square tin with aluminium foil.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl combine condensed milk and chocolate; microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes, or until chocolate is melted. Stir until smooth.
  • Stir in chopped almonds, chopped cherries and almond extract. Pour into prepared tin and spread evenly. Place pecan halves and cherry halves on top.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until firm. Cut into 2.5cm squares. Store, covered, in refrigerator.
