MICROWAVE CHILI Non-Vegetarian-Dish

Make this spicy, delicious chili recipe in the microwave oven using ground beef, tomato paste, black beans, chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, and the result is a tasty microwave chilli.



Ingredients

Oil
: 1 tbsp
Onion, chopped
: 1
Garlic cloves, minced
: 2
Lean ground beef
: 1 lb
Diced tomatoes with onions and garlic
: 2 (14 oz.) cans
Tomato paste
: 6 oz
Diced green chilies, undrained
: 4 oz
Black beans, rinsed and drained
: 2 (16 oz.)
Chili powder
: 1 tbsp
Cumin
: 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon
: 1/2 tsp
Pepper
: 1/8 tsp
Square unsweetened chocolate
: 1/2 ounce

Microwave Chili

Method

  • Combine oil, onion and garlic in 3 quart microwave safe glass casserole dish. Microwave on high for 4 minutes, stirring once during cooking.
  • Add beef to casserole and cook on high for 4 minutes, stirring once during cooking to break up meat.
  • Cook 3 minutes longer, then drain off any fat or liquid.
  • Add all remaining ingredients. Mix well to combine.
  • Microwave, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Stir well.
  • Cook 10-15 minutes longer until thickened and bubbly, stirring once during cooking.
