For a delicious, chocolaty dessert that tastes wonderful served warm, cold or at room temperature, make chocolate bread pudding. This simple to make dessert is sure to be a hit at your next holiday dinner party or at dinner tomorrow night. A great thing about bread pudding is you don't have to worry about exact ingredients as long as you have enough milk and egg mixture to soak the bread.


Chocolate chips
: 2 tbsp
: 1/2 cup
Egg, beaten
: 1
Granulated sugar
: 2 tbsp
Vanilla extract
: 1/4 tsp
Bread, cubed
: 2 slices

Microwave Chocolate Bread Pudding


  • Combine chocolate chips and milk in a 2-cup measuring cup. Microwave on HIGH for 60 to 90 seconds or until steaming hot.
  • Stir until chocolate is melted. Beat in egg and sugar until blended. Stir in vanilla extract and bread cubes. Spoon into two 6 ounce glass custard cups.
  • Microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) for 3 to 4 minutes or until puffed and set. Rotate dishes once while cooking.
  • Serve warm or cold. If desired, top with whipped cream and chocolate curls.
