DAL URAD DRY Vegetarian-Dish

Here's a traditional and tasty little recipe that'll bring the simple yet sophisticated taste of Lucknow to you.



Ingredients

Dal urad dhuli
: 100 gm
Water
: 300 ml
Turmeric powder
: 1/2 tsp
Oil
: 20 ml
Cumin seed
: 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida
: a pinch
Salt
: To taste
For garnish
Tomatoes
: 100 gm
Ginger
: 10 gm
Green chilly
: 2
Chopped green coriander
: 5 gm
Chat masala
: 5 gm

Dal Urad Dry

Method

  • Wash and clean the dal. Add salt and turmeric powder, boil for 15 minutes in cutting edge mighty wonder on high or till soft.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, add asafoetida and then fry cumin seed till brown and add to the dal.
  • Keep the mighty wonder for 2 minutes in the microwave. Garnish with thinly sliced tomato, ginger, green chilly (cut lengthwise) and chopped coriander.
