GINGER PORK - AROMATIC GINGER FLAVORED PORK Non-Vegetarian-Dish

Cubed pork braised in chicken broth, sherry, soy sauce and water. Add ginger and other seasonings, and you have the delicate and delicious dish called Ginger Pork.



Ingredients

Pork tenderloin
: 1 1/2 pounds
Cornstarch
: 1/4 cup
Green beans cut in 3 - 4 inch long pieces
: 1/2 pound
Baby carrots
: 1/2 pound
Ginger Sauce
Soy sauce
: 1/4 cup
Sugar
: 1/4 cup
Red wine
: 3 tbsp
Powdered ginger
: 1/2 tsp

Ginger Pork

Method

  • Place all the ingredients in a 1-quart casserole, and mix well or until the sugar completely dissolves.
  • Cover with a vented microwave lid and cook on HIGH (1200W) for 1 - 1 1/2 minutes. Take out and stir until the sauce becomes thickened. Set aside.
  • Slice the pork tenderloin into 1/2 inch thick pieces. Pound the pork slices with a meat tenderizer or bottle, to flatten slightly. Put the pork into a plastic bag with some flour and shake to coat.
  • Place the green beans, and carrots in a 3-quart casserole. Arrange the pork slices on top, around the perimeter of the bowl, leaving the center open.
  • Cover with a vented microwave lid* and cook on HIGH (1200W) for 13 - 14 minutes.
  • Take out and transfer only the pork slices into the .
  • Place the vegetables and the pork on warm serving plates. Add more if desired.
