This is kind of a comfort sweet that you find hidden in your mom's cupboard and you just pick a few everytime you pass by and pop them in your mouth. The aroma of just milk and sugar cooked for a couple of hrs ...this can melt away any kind of stress.



Ingredients

Full cream milk powder
: 3 cups
Thickened cream
: 300 ml
Sugar
: 1 cup
Milk masala
: 1 tbsp

Instant Microwave Milk Burfee

Method

  • Combine all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 3.5 minutes.
  • Remove, stir well and microwave on high for another 3.5 minutes.
  • Remove, stir and spread it evenly in a greased 'thali' or biscuit pan.
  • Optionally you can sprinkle more milk masala or saffron strands on it.
  • When cooled completely, cut into even squares and store in an airtight container.
  • Will store well in the fridge for 2 weeks and outside in cool weather for a week.
