MINT CHUTNEY Vegetarian-Dish

Mint chutney is a spicy dip made from mint leaves. It is an extremely flavorful condiment, and is served in small quantities. It is one of the most popular Indian chutneys around, as it can be served with almost any food.



Ingredients

Mint leaves
: 1 large bunch
Coriander leaves
: 1/2 bunch
Green chillies
: 4 to 5
Urad dal grains
: 1 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds
: 1 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
: 2 to 3 stalk
Roasted, skinned, peanuts
: 1 tbsp
Lemon juice
: 2 tsp
Jaggery
: 2 small lumps
Oil
: 1 tbsp
Salt
: 1/3 tsp

Mint Chutney

Method

  • Wash and drain both leaves.
  • Put oil in a large microwave pan. Sprinkle seeds, Add washed leaves. Put in a shallow, broad microwave pan. Microwave, covered, on high for 3 minutes.
  • Take off fire, allow to cool. Put all other ingredients in a small electric mixie.Run till smooth paste is form.Add cooled mint mixture.
  • Run till mixture is smooth and soft.
