PRAWN GRAVY Non-Vegetarian-Dish

Ingredients

Shelled, deveined and washed prawns
: 250 gms
Salt
: To taste
Mustard oil
: 1 tbsp
Desi ghee (clarified butter)
: 1 tbsp
GROUND TO A PASTE
Oil
: 2 tsp
Chilli powder
: 1 tsp
Cream
: 4 tbsp
For the masala paste
Grated onion
: 1
Ginger
: 1/2 piece
Garlic
: 6 cloves
Green chillies
: 2
Turmeric powder
: 1/2 tsp
Water
: 1 cup
Thick coconut milk
: 1 cup

Prawn Gravy

Method

  • Apply salt to the prawns.Keep for 15 minutes and then wash.
  • Mix with mustard oil and microwave for 3 minutes.Stir and keep aside.
  • Microwave ghee for 30 seconds and mix in the masala.Cover and microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the water and salt and microwave for 5 minutes. Add coconut milk and microwave at 50% power for 10 minutes.
  • Mix in the prawns and microwave for 5 minutes.
