SPICY PULAO Vegetarian-Dish

Spicy Pulav preparation is liked by all hot and spicy food lovers.This is one of the easiest way to prepare something special for sunday and also if you have sudden guest at home.


Long grained rice
: 1 cup
Green peas
: 1/2 cup
Diced carrots
: 1/2 cup
: 2 tsp
Mint leaves
: a few
: 2 tbsp
: To taste
To be ground into a chilli paste
Kashmiri chillies
: 6
Garlic (lehsun)
: 3 cloves
Ginger (adrak) (1/2") piece
: 12 mm.
Coriander-cumin seed (dhania-jeera) powder
: 2 tsp

Spicy Pulao


  • Clean and wash the rice. Soak in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
  • In a glass bowl, combine the ghee and the chilli paste and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute.
  • Add the rice, peas, carrots, curds and salt with 2½ cups of hot water. Microwave on HIGH for 12 minutes, stirring twice in between after every 4 minutes.
  • Add the mint leaves and toss lightly.
  • Serve hot.
