SPINACH CHEESE Vegetarian-Dish

This is a perfact dish for Sunday lunch when everybody is in the mood for a lavish meal before an afternoon siesta.This features wholesome flavor of cooked spinach (Palak) with fresh and delicate Indian cottage cheese.



Ingredients

Spinach[palak] chopped
: 4 cups
Paneer, cut into 1 inch cubes
: 1/2 cup
Onion chopped
: 1/2 cup
Ginger
: 1/2" piece
Green chilly chopped
: 2
Turmeric powder
: 1/4 tsp
Garam masala
: 1/2 tbsp
Cream
: 2 tsp
Oil
: 3 tsp
Salt
: To taste

Method

  • Place the chopped spinach on a microwave safe dish and microwave on for 2 min.
  • Blend in a liquidiser to a smooth puree and keep a side.
  • Combine the oil, chopped onion, ginger and green chilli in a microwave safe bowl and micro on high for 1 min.
  • Add spinach puree, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cream and salt and mix well. microwave on high for 3 min.
  • Add paneer, mix well, and micro on high for 1 more min.
  • Serve palak paneer (spinach cheese) hot.
