VEGETARIAN PUFF Vegetarian-Dish

This is a very good snack for tea time and is also very healthy for its ingredients involves lot of vegetables.



Ingredients

Puff pastry
: 1-2 sheets
Potatoes
: 2-3
Baby carrot
: 1
Frozen peas
: 2 tbsp
Curry paste/powder
Turmeric powder
: A pinch
Salt
: To taste
Lemon/lime juice
: To taste
Fresh coriander leaf
: finely chopped

Vegetarian Puff

Method

  • Thaw the pastry sheets.
  • Peel and wash potatoes and carrots. Cook these for few minutes in microwave bowl with some water in medium until tender. Cook frozen peas too in similar manner. Drain excess water into a pan (use it for watering pot plants).
  • Slightly mash the vegetables. Add curry paste/powder, turmeric powder, pinch of salt, lemon/lime juice and mix well.
  • Cut the pastry sheets into good size squares. Place small amount of curried vegetables on some cut squares. Cover, press and seal well with rest of the squares. Place these filled puff pastries on to a nonstick baking tray.
  • Cook for 15 minutes or so each side before turning them over for even cooking and till they get golden brown.
  • Cool on a tray before serving as the filling can be very hot inside.
