The cinema industry based in Andhra Pradesh is known as Telugu cinema or Tollywood. It is the second largest film industry in India, next only to Bollywood. It has the largest film producing facility in the world and boasts of having the world's largest 3D IMAX screen. It is to be noted here that Andhra Pradesh has the distinction of having the most number of cinema theaters in India.

Telugu films have a huge base in South India, with most of the Telugu films being re-made in Hindi and Tamil as well.
